REPORT
ALLP’s recently published report, The Status of Latinos in the Federal Workforce (ALLP REPORT), finds that Latinos have not had a net increase in federal workforce representation in 50 years. Despite being the largest racial and ethnic group in the nation, comprising 20 percent of the U.S. population, Latinos are the only demographic that has not reached proportional federal workforce representation. The underrepresentation of Latinos in the spaces of power where public policy priorities are decided negatively impacts the socioeconomic well-being of the Latino community and the nation, particularly as the Latino economic contribution to the national economy continues to increase.
